How Does the Subconscious Mind Create Reality?

We all want to know how our life plans out. We ask ourselves “Will I be happy, will I be successful, will I live a good life?” For most people we want the best for ourselves, but wouldn’t it be nice to know how does the subconscious mind create reality?

The subconscious mind creates reality because it is where previous life experiences, beliefs, memories, skills and situations you’ve been through are stored. These all will determine who you are, what you’re like depending on what you’ve been through and how your mind has stored them.

We’ll also talk about:

What is the Role of the Subconscious Mind?

The subconscious mind controls 95% of our lives, this is because the function of it is to store and retrieve data.

The majority of everything that happens in your life will be stored in the subconscious mind and when it needs to, the subconscious mind will retrieve that data when it is necessary.

Your subconscious plays a role in how you perceive the world. It forms habits and these habits will continue because they are embedded in your subconscious mind.

Your subconscious stores all your memories, it will determine how you make decisions in life.

Have you ever wondered what caused you to be the way you are? Are you sensitive but your friend is the complete opposite? That is because you likely had a very different upbringing.

You learn habits through your parents, peers, but you can also learn habits through TV shows.

These habits will stick in your subconscious and when a situation is relevant you subconscious will refer back to these because it is all it knows.

What is the Difference Between the Subconscious Mind and the Conscious Mind?

Difference Between the Subconscious Mind and the Conscious Mind

Conscious Mind

The conscious mind is aware of what is going on at the present moment. If you are having a conversation with someone, the conscious mind is what is being used. It is aware of the environment around you and what to respond automatically. It is the first call of action. It knows what is necessary to store in the subconscious mind and it will communicate with the subconscious mind.

Subconscious Mind

The subconscious mind is learned behaviour that the conscious mind has stored. When you learn to ride a bike when you’re younger or to drive a car, it’s something that you remember to do throughout your life because it is repetitive, you do it over and over again and it gets stored in your subconscious mind.

The subconscious mind isn’t always there like the conscious mind; it is in the background.

For example, when you have a feeling of déjà vu that is the subconscious mind linking it to one of your past life experiences that feels relatable.

Is the Subconscious Mind Powerful?

The most simplistic answer is yes; the subconscious mind is very powerful. The subconscious controls functions such as eating, breathing, digesting, etc.

All these you need to live.

So it is a very important part of the body, without it the human body wouldn’t be able to survive. It is not only powerful but extremely vital and important.

You learn actions like walking, feeding yourself, going to the toilet when you’re younger and the conscious mind takes these learned actions and stores them in your subconscious mind to use throughout your life.

If you have a brain injury the subconscious mind could be damaged and this is why some people have to learn how to do daily activities again like walking, feeding themselves, etc. It’s a precious part of the body.

Can be the Subconscious Mind Dangerous?

Realistically your subconscious mind can be dangerous, it controls who you are as a person. Bad experiences can cause a bad future, but this doesn’t have to be the way if you want to change. It is possible.

Anything you learnt as a child was embedded in your subconscious mind and has made you the way you are today. This is why some people can have issues such as anxiety and others are more confident.

If you have had a negative upbringing, such as abusive parents it can form thoughts in your subconscious mind to think that it is normal and unfortunately in some cases, it can cause you to act the same way.

Alternatively, those who were bullied as a child can sometimes find situations in life more difficult because their subconscious mind has these experiences embedded and relates them to how they would have felt in that situation.

So if we’re truthfully speaking, yes the subconscious mind can be dangerous because if you learn bad habits, these could ultimately lead to you to being a bad person who doesn’t do humane things.

Can You Reprogram Your Subconscious Mind?

Your subconscious mind doesn’t ever stop programming itself, it is continuously doing it throughout your life, taking in the different experiences that you have.

However, they do say that most of the habits that you use in life are formed by the age of seven.

Despite this, the subconscious mind can be reprogramed but it is a difficult task to do because it is always on auto-pilot, you needn’t think about your actions, they just happen and sometimes that can be difficult to override. If you are dedicated to changing the way your subconscious mind thinks you can do it.

How Can You Reprogram Your Subconscious Mind?

It is something that you would need to commit to. Unfortunately, as nice as it would be to reprogram quickly, it is not a get quick scheme. It is something that takes time and involves a lot of determination. Some of the best ways to reprogram your subconscious mind include:

•    Limit Any Negativity in Your Life

One of the best ways to reprogram your subconscious mind is by limiting any negativity in your life. By pushing those negative thoughts away, you will start to see life more positively. Your beliefs, feelings and thoughts about things will change and this will help for future reference.

•    Practice Affirmations

Affirmations are a great way to reprogram the subconscious mind. If you don’t know what affirmations are, they are positive messages that you repeatedly say to yourself to override any negative thoughts you might be having. By doing this, you are changing your perspective on life from being negative to positive. Your subconscious mind will store these positive thoughts and it can help to reprogram any negative habits.

•    Be Consist

Being consistent will help to reprogram your subconscious mind. If you start doing something and are noticing a change in your mood, don’t just presume that you don’t need to do it anymore because the truth is, it probably isn’t implanted yet. They say it takes 66 days for a habit to form this is why you need to be consistent with it if you want it to stick. Being consistent will form new habits and any relevant old habits you have will be overridden.

Everyone can create their reality.

Don’t let other people’s fears cast over you. Everybody has their fears but you shouldn’t let that affect how you see life because everybody is different and will live their lives differently.

No person is the same as another, we all have our fears. People will try to push their fears on you, but remind yourself that it is their fears and they don’t have to be yours too.

Create a vision board, a great way to try and imagine what your future is going to look like, and yes I say “going” because the vision board is there to encourage you to make it your reality, not just a vision.

If you pin motivation quotes and pictures of things you want in your life, such as a nice home, a family, pets, etc. you will be motivated to achieve these goals.

Speak to people that have changed their lives from negative to positive. It will only inspire you to create the reality that you want. A great thing about speaking to others that have done it themselves is they will have tips that you could try and use.

It has worked for them so there is a chance it could for you. For each person, it might work differently but it is worth trying.

Conclusion

The subconscious mind does create reality. If you are happy with your reality that’s great, but for those who aren’t happy, it is possible to program your reality by changing your learnt habits.

We know the subconscious mind is a very powerful place and can take control over someone’s life in both a positive and negative way.

But if you aren’t happy and you want to control your reality, then it is all down to your determination and how much you want it to happen.

Feel free to check out our article on a very famous quote: “Do more of what makes you happy” and you might find some valuable gems in there.

It’s important for you to be happy with your life and you should be able to take control of it.

  1. How does one attract abundance and happiness when the going gets tough? Sometimes when life gives you lemons it’s difficult to imagine that things are going to get better. If we start training our subconscious as you say, will situations change? Could you cite with example?

    • gratitude is the basis. always. not even for the purpose of attracting money specifically. but genuine gratitude, an honest look at all the things you have to be grateful for in life, will naturally raise your vibrations. get a journal and make a habit of writing down things youre grateful for every morning. you’ll begin to feel genuine happiness and peace when you realize how divine all these things are and how YOU have so much already. do this for a while. dont even focus on the money for a while. just focus on FEELING the love and peace and happiness that gratitude of these things bring you.

Once you’ve done that for some time and your baseline vibration is much higher and one rooted in love, there are going to be moments that fill you with an INTENSE gratitude and appreciation. they’ll stand out as gifts and answers from the universe. you will know. use these feelings. first and foremost to express gratitude again, but also to attach your desires to the vibrations of these intense moments. the key to attracting everything is feeling. decide what you want and be specific. the amount, what you’re gonna do with it, how it’ll feel. really focus on how it’ll feel. if you can feel it, that means it already exists and is yours. write how grateful you are to have it just like you did things you had physically already. One thing you’ll have learned from really being grateful is that it really creates more of those things. REALLY know that its yours. and then wait.

Examples? I wanted to attract money too. I thought i had to earn it so i wanted to learn about investing and stocks and such. i wrote about it in my journal. i bought books about financial literacy like Richest Man in Babylon (great read btw). then i would randomly begin to meet people that knew about financial literacy at work and we began talking about it. i was so amazed that i went home and was overcome with gratitude for attracting these people into my life. i went to visit family that night, where something else i had written in my journal came to fruition. again, left moved to almost tears with gratitude. went to get fast food, tipped the girl at the window (giving is the best way to recieve). very next day, while getting gas, i find a stack of books about financial success surrounding stocks and investing on top of the gas pump. a gift from the universe. i co-created it into my reality. i attracted those books.

more? i wanted to pay off my credit card debts and become $20,000 richer. again, months before i had been grateful for all the money i had. genuinely i was. i had been saving using the knowledge i learned in richest man in babylon, and i really saved more than i ever had. given it wasnt much to some, but it was the most i had ever had for ONLY my savings. not to pay bills with, not for groceries with. it was all mine and i was grateful. i wrote about becoming $20k richer and paying off my cards in my journal. i realized i had enough in my savings to pay off my $800 paypal credit. so i did. it became real. seeing the 0 balance made it real in this reality. kept writing about it. feeling it.

one day i felt off. down, depressed. sad. i asked the universe a question: “am i creating my my life correctly?” trusting i would get a perfect answer. minutes later i got in the shower, and a dime fell out of nowhere into my tub. a single dime.

one day later, i got the idea to buy some scratch off tickets. i knew infinite money was already mine. why wouldnt i play. mind you, i had never bought scratch offs in my life. first 4, won $7. 5th one, i won $50,000.

the keys: gratitude, you have to KNOW the universe is working with you, and be rooted in love
